Kevin Cepelak is a graduate of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. A native of Northport, Kevin attended Northport High School and was a captain of his lacrosse team. Kevin continued his lacrosse career as a student athlete in college, where he was named captain in his final two years. Throughout college, Kevin was involved in mentoring local middle school children and volunteering in the community. He has traveled to various parts of the world, including Japan, where he participated in the Friendship Games with his college lacrosse team. Additionally, while attending school, Kevin studied political science with a focus on public and constitutional law. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in May of 2005. Kevin continues his education today, studying to attain his Masters degree in Criminal Justice through the distance-learning program at Boston University. Kevin served as an intern in Congressman Steve Israel’s office in Hauppauge before joining Legislator Cooper’s office as a legislative aide in December of 2005.
